At Equip Consulting, we take a genuinely collaborative approach to our consulting, training and change management services. We work closely with our clients to understand their specific needs and develop solutions that are tailored to their unique challenges. Our approach is transparent, results-driven, and designed to help businesses succeed, grow and stand out.
We're delighted to offer qualifications courses for the Association for Project Management (APM) and APMG, through our partnership with a leading APM- and APMG-accredited training provider. The courses shown below are those that we are able to deliver on behalf of our partners, and we are happy to refer customers directly to them for other APM and APMG courses not listed below, along with ECITB and CMI courses available through them.
Supporting your staff with gaining recognised qualifications is important for their professional development, including keeping CPD up-to-date and fresh.
It's also a way of investing in your people, motivating them to develop and giving them new skills that they can apply in their current roles or enable them to step into new roles in your organisation as part of an effective succession planning strategy..
We offer short courses and workshops, specifically focused on the application of knowledge and understanding. In this way, you will see real results as learners apply their new-found knowledge and understanding in the workplace.
We can develop bespoke training courses and workshops, or tailor existing courses and workshops to suit your needs. We recommend undertaking a gap analysis of skills, knowledge and behaviours before considering the training you and your team will benefit from.
For example, do a number of your staff require essential knowledge on how projects work and how their role fits into this environment, but only a selection of them require ongoing, deeper-level understanding? Then our one-day project essentials course, followed by tailored application-focused workshops, would be an ideal solution.

Our Project Essentials one-day course is designed to provide a high-level overview of how projects are established and managed, for people who will encounter projects either on an infrequent basis or may support projects more frequently, but who may not necessarily be involved in the direct planning or delivery of them.
The course is ideal for those who work in finance, procurement, HR and technical functions, where the focus is on day-to-day operations but with occasional involvement in projects, where understanding terminology, roles, structures and processes would be beneficial.
The structure for our course follows our “P-R-O-C-E-S-S-M-A-P”© approach:
Stage 0: Pause - do we really need a project
Stage 1: Rationalise the project
Stage 2: Objectives of the project
Stage 3: Clear scope
Stage 4: Establish structures
Stage 5: Set out the project plans
Stage 6: Stay in control
Stage 7: Manage and report
Stage 8; Agree handover and close
Stage 9: Prepare for benefits
We can tailor elements of this course to suit you, for example if you use any in-house processes, project lifecycle structures or software/documentation, we can incorporate content into the course to make it even more specific and relevant to your team.
The course is also designed as a useful step in familiarising participants with the recognised best practice set out in reference texts such as the Association for Project Management (APM) Body of Knowledge, used as the foundation for many APM qualifications courses, and the International Project Management Association (IPMA) IPMA Individual Competence Baseline: Project Management (ICB4).
This course will therefore give participants a head-start in acquiring and structuring some of the knowledge required by qualifications courses on offer, such as the APM’s Project Fundamentals Qualification (PFQ) and Project management Qualification (PMQ).
Our Project Essentials course can be delivered virtually or face-to-face, for groups of up to 12 participants. Please contact us for details and specific pricing.
Our Development Workshops are designed to follow-on from the Project Essentials course, but can also be delivered as stand-alone topics.
We will tailor elements of the workshops to suit your needs as identified by a brief gap analysis - limited tailoring is included in the price above. The workshops will then focus on developing deeper knowledge and understanding of specific topics. For example, a range of people skills could include adaptive leadership, facilitation, negotiation, communication and resolving conflict. Participants will gain further understanding of these topics in the first part of the workshop, and then be 'tasked' with selecting 2-3 'nuggets' to take away and apply in their roles.
Participants then feed back to their group at the next workshop, usually 6-8 weeks later, on how they have applied their learning from the previous workshop and the results they've seen, along with any reflective learning.
This can be repeated for numerous topics for a deeper-dive at each workshop, for example groups could participate as follows:
The cost of this combination would be £5,400 excl. VAT
The workshops are delivered face-to-face, for groups of up to 12 participants. Please contact us for details and tailored pricing.
We are constantly in the process of developing new short courses and workshops to offer. However, we recognise that many customers need something specific, either because they have internal processes and structures in place, or to achieve a specific outcome.
Courses available or coming soon include:
We're also able to offer many other short courses through our accredited partners,
If you would like to discuss your requirements and objectives with us, to decide what's best for you, please get in touch and we'll happily set up a no-obligation chat.
